The National Library of Kosovo had the honor of welcoming today the President of the Albanian Academy of Sciences, Academician Skënder Gjinushi, accompanied by the Vice President of the Academy, Academician Vasil Tole, Academician Anastas Angjeli and Academician Ms. Anila Hoda. The delegation was welcomed by the Director General of the National Library of Kosovo, Ms. Blerina Rogova Gaxha, together with the staff of the institution.
During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by the President of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences and Arts, Academician Justina Shiroka-Pula, as well as Academician Bardh Rugova.
During this visit, the guests were introduced to the activities, collections and special funds of the National Library of Kosovo. They visited the Contemporary Art Library, the Music Library, the Personal Library of Esad Mekuli, as well as the Digitization Center, where they were informed about the processes and contemporary standards of preservation, conservation and digitization of documentary heritage.
The visit took place in an excellent spirit of academic and institutional cooperation, serving as an important opportunity for the exchange of experiences and professional practices between two homologous institutions.
